Springfield couple, Kira Blasi and Arch Watson, want to spend half the year here and half the year in Florida. So they downsized to a condo. And it’s perfect for them.

Remaking the condo started with opening up a cramped foyer to reveal the stairs, study and dining room.	An artificial fireplace and clubby leather furniture feel masculine.
New flooring, higher ceilings, an island and a buffet and butler pantry—not to mention Jenn Air—spiffed up the kitchen.	It took six tries before the right faux-fi nish paint was selected for the main bedroom.
Kira and Arch enjoy having a beverage with friends here. (Can you see Mickey Mantle on the wall?)	A 100-year-old desk and a newly handpainted ceiling tie the room together.
With 3,000 square feet, the condo is big enough to be spacious and small enough to be manageable.
